Are CT Scans Required After Diagnosis Of Ovarian Cyst And Fibroids
My ultrasound scan showed ovarian cystis and possible fibrods.. so my doctor has refered me for a ct scan. but from what im reading Ct scans are not normally used for the two things i have mentioned. Also my blood test dont show any indications in tumor markers.

CT scan is indicated in complex ovarian cysts to rule out any malignancy and spread. If the cyst is complex, then CT scan is indicated. In simple ovarian cysts and fibroids, with negative tumor markers, there is no indication of CT scan.
