Are BP Of 143/108 And Pulse Of 93 Normal?

Bp 143/108 pulse 93 lots of swelling in both legs and feet. Left foot worse. I do take a BP med in the morning but I also have been diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis and am still on steroids 40mg daily. Swelling has been going last 3days. BP has been as high as 173/90?

There are two parts or two separate numbers referred to as blood pressure: Systolic/Diastolic.If we look at the American Heart Association's blood pressure chart iwe looked at the American Heart Association's blood pressure chart in normal blood pressure the systolic: Less than 120 and diastolic: Less than 80.
High Blood Pressure(Hypertension) Stage 1 the systolic: From 140 to 159
diastolic: From 90 to 99.
Therefore, 143/108 is High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) Stage 1.A good pulse rate for an adult at rest ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minuteSo I sugest you to see a cardiologyst or to follow your treatment plan and take all medications as prescribed. Following your prescribed treatment plan is important because it can prevent or delay complications that high blood pressure can cause and can lower your risk for other related problems.
Some advices are:
Healthy lifestyle habits can help you control high blood pressure. These habits include:
-Healthy eating
-Being physically active
-Maintaining a healthy weight
-Limiting alcohol intake
