Appearance Of Red Spots With Itching, Diabetic. Spots Disappear In Few Days Leaving Brown Spots. Is There Any Cure?

red itchy spots appear on lower part of legs,i checked blood sugar fasting sugar was 198,tchy spots itched is painful and sensitive, it appears initialy with two reddish dot like eruptions and ifeel before their appearance the legs become warm,no fever, platelets count is normal,tri glyceride is normal serum cholesterol is slightly below normal,thyroid is normal taking 100mcg,lopid (gemifibrogil)300 two capsules per day along with atorvastin 20 taken continuosly for last few months now stopped but atorvasatin 20 is being continued with tenoric 50 (atenolol ip 50mg andchlorthalidone ip 12.5 mg) for hyper tension, along with onglyza 5,metmorfin 750 and glcazide 120mg twice before break fast and dinner is being taken now i.e since last week is being taken along with muti vitamin so what is the reason for these itching reddish spot which vanishes after ten days leaving abrownish tinge on skin and what is the reason for such appearances and what is the line of treatment take note i am diabetic for last seven years and on thyroid medisation for last seven years?

Hi,

Usually , red spots are related to high blood sugar (diabetes); sometimes they are a sign of light injury or trauma. When they turn brown, that is typically the diabetic spot caused by trauma.

No specific treatment is needed; the only advice is to control diabetes well.
