Aortic Valve Replacement. Can Eat Potatoes?

I had arotic valve replacement in 2004 and valve got repaired in 2010 due to leakages in the valve. I have been told not to consume roots and tubers. But can i eat potatoes?

The roots and tubers contain lot of carbohydrates. I hope you have diabetes too. In that case potatoes are denied too. If you explain the exact cause why tubers and roots are denied to you i would be in a better position to explain you.
