Hi doc

about 6 weeks ago i had bad cold that turned into brochitus. bronchitus cleared but i had bad bouts of dizziness and nausua and fullness feeling in right ear. its been a month now and dizzy & nausau spells have gotten better and less frequent but still get them every other day or sometimes every day but dont last very long. no vomiting occured. I did not have vertigo (spinning sensation). Just dizziness off balance feeling with nausua light headedness. other symptoms include tingling and some numness in arms and legs (improved now so not really get this any more just) but still get tingling slightly. dry mouth constant. my hearing is not affected just fullness like water in my ear. please advise. thanks

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The history of cold followed by feeling of fullness in right ear suggests infection from the upper respiratory tract to the ear.
The two anatomical structures are connected to each other so it is possible for the infection to move in either direction.
Nausea, light headedness and dizziness can be due to the infectious process.
The clinical examination of the ear is required.
You need to consult your ENT specialist for clinical examination and relevant investigations.
Antibiotic therapy may be required to control the infectious process.
If there is collection of water in the middle ear, drainage of fluid is required.

Thanks and take care
