Any Suggestion For Cramps And Diarrhea When Having Diverticulitis?

For the past 12 months I have had stomach cramps similar to period pain and have loose stools having to evacuate my bowel up to 6 times a day I have had a colonoscopy, gastropy and a barium enema which showed some diverticulitis. I had an episode 4 months ago where I was so short of breath I could nt walk very far and on visiting the Dr it was found I had low red corpulses and had to have a blood transfusion. Since then my blood tests have been fine but still have cramps and diarrhoea. y

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the diverticulitis then it may cause the diarrheal symptoms with cramp but condition must be confirmed and if it is not the diverticulitis then what the symptoms you have could be due to chronic dysentery ideally stool needs to be send for culture and sensitivity, but it can be given try with Tab Tinidazole 750 mg twice in day for 5 days for cramp Tab Dicyclomine can be tried, differential diagnosis would be matter of concern, hope this information helps.
