Anxiety, Heart Spasms. Started After Pulling A Muscle. Can Pulling A Muscle Be Cause Of Heart Spasm?
I have a question. Six months ago i pulled or tore a muscle on my upper body (my arms and chest) ever since then i had anxiety which it seen like it when away, but for about a month or two i been having heart spasms, but since a week i been having it a bit more frequent. To me it feels like heart spasms and maybe a little pause not sure. But the thing is i went to the beach a week ago and probably hurt my upper body again not sure. Can me pulled a muscle on upperbody be sideeffect (me having heart spasms) ??
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. From the description, I feel that you are a "Type A personality" with more of anxietyneurosis and unnecessary thinking.
A pulled muscle is in no way related to a cardiac cause. Muscle pull usually manifests as "localised" pain over the affected muscle and is made worse by movement of that muscle.
Pain of cardiac origin will be felt "diffusely" over the entire anterior chest wall and is present constantly, gets worse with any physical exertion.
I advice you to consult a physician and get clarified about all issues.
Hope this information is helpful to you. Good day
