Ankle Sprained. Prescribed Ice Compression, X-ray Showed No Break. Some Pain Bruising Present. Normal?
i sprained my ankle 6 days ago. Went to the emergency room they prescribed rest ice compression after xray determined there was no break. After 3 days i started walking on it a little. there is still pain if i move it from side to side and today i had some new bruising appear. is additional bruising normal at this stage?
Your doctor has given you right treatment. At this stage you should give rest to your ankle. You can take analgesics with serratopeptidase tablets. It will help in reducing swelling. You should use crepe bandage for immobilization. If it is still persistent, you can consult orthopaedician. New bruise may appear due to fresh subtle trauma. Get well soon.
