Hi, Low-lying placenta is a placenta that lies either touching the internal os or covering it in various lengths or just dipping into the lower segment. All these terms should be applied when a pregnancy has entered the third trimester as prior to this, the position of the placenta is insignificant. A low-lying placenta later in pregnancy needs special attention and monitoring and an abdominal delivery. As you have had a sub-chorionic bleed, please take the medication as suggested by your doctor.
