Am In Peri-menopause. Now Menstruating, Sweating Feet, Burning Sensation On Face. Eyes Are Dry. Hot Flush. Suggestions?

I am 46 and likely in peri-menopause. Still menstruating erratically. About a year ago I began to experience periodic episodes of sweating feet, which continues. I trust this is hormone-related and can deal with that. But, also about a year ago, I began experiencing an intense hot burning sensation around my face. Cheeks, mouth, brow. Eyes feel dry and burn, too. This has become more persistent - seems almost constant. Throughout the day. Best when I first wake up in the morning. Only rarely (perhaps cyclically?) does any visible flushing or redness occur. When it does, it is usually by my cheeks and also in my palms.

I am confident this is not a "hot flash." It is very specific to feeling like the skin itself is burning. Think it is low estrogen? Or more likely an allergy? I had a full physical within the past 9 months, by the way, with all blood tests etc. just fine. But I did not specifically discuss this because it was more episodic then.

The erratic periods are likely to continue till menopause is achieved, autonomic symptoms and burning sensation may be a secondary to a dry, itchy skin due to decrease in oestrogen which stimulates the collagen production and oils. The skin also tends to retain less moisture, the use of a moisturiser and increase in omega-3 fatty acids rich foods like fortified eggs, salmon, walnuts, soy, safflower oil and flax will help in preventing the skin from drying by increasing the sebum production.Use of sunscreen lotion when going out in the sun will help, avoiding hot baths and steam bath will help.
