What Should I Do When Previous Menstruation Was Only Slight Spotting And This Month It Is Delayed?

Am a 24 yr old. I had unprotected sex with my husband in sept and had unwanted 72 pill within 48 hrs after about 12 14 days i got my regular periods but the bleeding was very less just like spotting. This month my periods were to b on 12th oct but m nt yet menstruating. I took a pregnancy test this morning n it ws negative. I took a mensovit plus capsule now to start my periods. What should i do? What is wrong with my periods? Is it d wffects of unwanted 72 pill or stress? Kindly help

Hi,

The menstrual disturbance was because of the emergency contraceptive pills. That periods after14 days (usually it is in 8-10 days after taking pills) in form of spotting was indicating that the hormones in pills had left your body. As such emergency contraceptive pills cause disturbance in normal menstrual cycle. The next period is 8-10 days delayed than normal date. You need to wait for your periods till then and be careful about contraception these days.
