Am I Pregnant If I Have Irregular Periods After Having Sex?
Hello I was supposed to have my DEPO shut on 25 july 2013, I missed it and the next day had a bleeding that last almost 2weeks, had sex on 9 10 11 on July with my husband. I have not had period since... I have a lo of symptoms like pregnancy.. Can I be pregnancy?
If you missed your Depo shot, there is a possibility that you could become from unprotected sex.
So, I suggest you do a urine pregnancy test and if it is positive, you should see a provider for pregnancy care.
If it is negative, many women have irregular menstrual cycles when they stop using Depo Provera for even up to 6 months. However, this does not mean that you cannot conceive, so i suggest you seek an alternate birth control method if you do not desire pregnancy.
I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that this information was helpful.
Best wishes,
Dr. Brown
