Always Breathing Heavy And Having Shortness Of Breath. Is It Due To Overweight With Very Heavy Top?

I am always out of breath, short of breath and breathing heavy. I am 50 pounds overweight and over 50 years old. Is this the only reason? I can just be sitting and be short of breath. I am only 5 feet 1 and carry a lot of weight in my chest. very top heavy.

Yes you are right obesity can be the cause for breathing difficulty. In my opinion you should first consult pulmonologist and get done chest x ray and pulmonary function test (PFT). Obesity causes restriction of chest to expand and can be predicted on PFT. So consult pulmonologist and try to loose some weight.
