Altered menstruation, not pregnant. What else is the reason?

hi,i m so concern and worried last month i ve got my period on the exact date but it s only lasted 1day but after a week i ve got a little brown discharge until it came red when i wipe untill it flow 2days but a little only and now it been 1 month later but i hav nt yet.i take many pt but always negative..waht it could be???pls answer my question..thank you..

Lots of things other than pregnancy can be the cause of a reduced and irregular menstrual. Your age also determines the most likely cause.

If you are 40 or more, it may be an onset of menopause. Some medications, stress, anxiety and strenous physical activity can also cause that. Contraceptive pills can also have this as side effect.

Pelvic problems like an overian cyst, an infection or endometriosis can also be a cause.

Please see a physician for investigation and proper management.
