Dear madam
Aortic calcification is age related. Any fever associated with the condition? Emphysaema is a irreversible dilatation of the terminal respiratory air passages. With an ESR 82 the picture is more or less of an acute episode over chronic disease. The management of the condition would be metered dose inhaler like combivent (ipratropium bromide and albuterol) 6 hrly till your shortness of breath and cough subsides. secondly send sputum for analysis with culture. Early morning sample for gram stain and AFB for three consecutive days. If at all it comes positive an antibiotic can be started. Thirdly chest physiotherapy. I hope i have answered your query
