After Undergoing Treatment For Mild Scabies, Was Given Premethrin, What Could Persistent Red Bumps And Tingling Imply?

Hi I recently got treated for a very mild form of scabies but still am getting red bumps and stingy tingling sensations popping up . I was treated with premethrin and used it 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Is what I m having normal or am I still infected. My gp seems to think its post scabies eczema please help

Welcome to healthcare magic.
From your history and description, it seems to me that you could be having post scabitic itch. It occurs after completing the treatment of scabies as an allergic reaction to the scabies mite products.
You do not have to use re use permethrin.
You could apply a cream containing Crotamiton- Hydrocortisone combination 2-3 times per day on the bumps.
You could also take an anti histamine like Benadryl at bedtime to provide relief from itching.
I hope you have washed the bed clothing as well as your clothes because these could harbour scabies mites which could re infest your skin.
I also hope all your close contacts have been treated as they could re transmit the mite to you inspite of you having completed the treatment.
If close contacts have not been treated, I suggest that you treat yourself and all the close contacts simultaneously with overnight application of permethrin.
