Take the pen out of your pocket. (Just kidding) Any kind of chest pain should be a reason to stop what you've been doing, and seek a Doctor's help.

Hi, I m a 45 old male, quite healthy and athletic, playing competitive tennis three times a week and running, doing sit-ups and push-ups almost every night for 30 times each, non-smoking. About 7 month ago, I felt sudden stabbing pain in my left chest area, followed by a feeling of warmness rediating and releasing from where the stabbing pain originates, followed by nausea and fatigue. This happened three times in a period of 40 minutes. I had ECG and Holter monitor on the next day and everything came back fine. Since then, there has no more stabbing pain, but it develops into a pattern of sudden onset of severe chest, back and sholder pain with slight nausea, very deep and dull, worse off when I stretch or tilt back or trun my head left. Had my blood test, stress test, ECGs a few month ago and Dr don t think I have heart problem. One thing I want to mention is that I did have tremendous pressure in life and some anxiety issues when this first happened, could this pressure and anxiety cause my problem? I have been trying meditation, relaxing techniques since and i do think I am really relaxed now, sleep well and enjoy life more. But this sudden onset of deep chest and back pain (at the bottom of my left shoulder) happens almost once a day, lasting about 30 minutes each time with slight nuasea. I now know this deep chest pain will not kill me but still get worried and annoyed when it comes on. Can you please advise as to what it is and how I can get rid of this completely. Thanks heaps, Dave

I ve had this random sharp stabbing pain in my left lung for about a year and a half now, it started after I had gotten the swine flu shot and mainly when I laughed. Now it happens at random and has started to affect my right lung and a few pains at where my heart would be. When I get this pain, I have to stop what I m doing and I can t help my try and grab where the pain is even though it s internal. I m 17 and I don t do any drugs and am not on any kind of medication. I asked a doctor to see if they could tell me what I was but they said they needed to know exactly the reason of why my pain starts. Is this anything serious because sometimes it gets worst and sometimes not. only happens about once every few days too.

My nine month old has unilateral hearing loss and as a result of an MRI we have been told that he has deformities of the semi curricular canals on both the left and right side. I understand the hearing loss and the implications. What I don't understand is what will the likely long term implications be as a result of the semi circular canal deformities. We have been told that he has approximatively have the semi curricular canals on each side

I am a 68 yr old white male that had a defib installed 5 yr ago due to a 22 ejection fra. Heart was more or less normal otherwise. After years on Toprol and enalpril I have a 50 EF. with a pretty normal echo result. Question: I am having some pain discomfort around my site and tingling pain down my left arm with extreme tentinitus ? in my left arm. I have recently been doing some lite arm movements in the pool such as swimming movements etc. If I bother my cardiologist could he easily determine this is not a lead problem etc. Or will it be hard to give me an answer for the pain. I just had a scheduled remote check up and medtronic e-mail back said all is well. I can get in pretty easy to see my Doctor but really think this is exercise related. What ya Think?
