After 3.5 years of having an IUD that i was very happy with, some side effect occurred that lead me to have the IUD removed. I had extremely high libido, cystic acne, persistent pain in ovaries, soreness/muscle fatigue in lower back, hips and buttocks, and hair loss. After removal of the Mirena, my symptoms lessened, but the backache has gotten worse. I have sleep disturbances and headaches since the remove, which was 8 days ago. Is this normal? How long will this last and why is it happening?
