Advised To Repeat TPHA Test, Never Had Any Sexual Contact. Reason?
i had undergone medical exam and i was asked for a repeat tpha apparently i dont know the reason why i need to repeat the test. after the repeated test i was asked again to repeat the test after a week (due next week).. i am quite disturbed since i never had any sexual contact. how come that i am having problems with my tpha result. my previous medical exams were all ok.

It is not clear why ru undergone for medical examination.
TPHA is a serological confirmatory test for Syphilis.
Syphilis is transmitted primarily by sexual contact or during pregnancy from a mother to her fetus but may transmitted by kissing, or oral, vaginal, and anal sex.
So, please ask ur doctor why he is suspecting syphilis.
Consult a gynecologist.

tpha test is done for diagnosis of syphylis. some times there will be false positive results in lab. if results does not match to clinical condition it will be repeated. dont worry . if you dont have any symptoms ,then no need to worry
