Advise On The Chest X-ray Report With Bi-apical Densities

Here is the result of my chest x-ray:

Suspicious bi-apical densities are seen.
There are also streaky, hazy densities noted in the right lower lobe.
Heart is not enlarged.
Trachea is at midline.
Diaphragm and sulci are intact.
There is a slight inclination of the thoracic spine towards the right.
No other remarkable findings.

What could this mean?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Your X-ray report suggests suspicious opacities in apical region of both lungs. It is difficult to determine infection in apical region because it is covered by many bony structures like bony ribs, clavicle.
Apico-lordotic view should be taken to properly visualize apical areas. It is a special view for apical areas,so you should go for this view.
There are also streaky, hazy densities noted in the right lower lobe.It is important to rule out pneumonia.
Other findings like trachea, heart, diaphragm, both CP angles are normal.
There is slight deviation of the thoracic spine towards the right side.

Hope I have answered your question.
Take Care
