Adrenal Fatigue. Severe Anxiety, Depression, Panic Disorder. Taken MDMA, Citalopram. Possibility Of MDMA Side-effects?

Hi I think I may be suffering with adrenal fatigue and show most of the symptoms .about 7 months ago I was spiked with MDMA and suffered severe anxiety and depression which was controlled with citalopram . The symptoms of the panic disorder have now subsided and have been discontinued on citalopram but still show all signs of adrenal fatigue could this be a result of the MDMA ?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic Public Forum

From your description possible causes of your suffering in order of preference:
-Anxiety and depressive illness
-Substance induced (MDMA) induced psychological problem
-Adrenal fatigue

If problem is prolonged or severe and leading to frequent interpersonal problems, then for assessment and treatment, you can visit specialist like psychiatrist. You may also need treatment with citalopram as you had history of good response with it.

I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
Wish you Good Health.

Regards,
Dr. Ashish Mittal
