Acute Chest And Esophagus Pain, Weakness In Legs And Arms, Increased Heartbeat, Headache. History Of Finishing Chemo
I finished my last chemo (TAC) on 9/23 and was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday 10/22 morning with acute chest and esophagus pain. Was discharged late yesterday 10/23 stating it was not my heart and they don’t know what is causing this pain. I also have weakness in my legs and today I noticed my arms are becoming weak. When this pain occurs more with movement than stillness, it feels like my heart is beating in my throat and my head is about to explode.
A lot of chemo drugs are known to cause side effects like high potassium and high uric acid and also because of the cell damage it releases a lot of anti inflammatory agents causing weakness The chest pain and esophagus pain can be due to the acidity that is caused by antibiotics and hence difficulty in swallowing and burning sensation I don't know what cancer you had but if its around the esophagus that can also cause pain
