Acne In Nose For 14 Years, Nose Enlarged. Will I Need Plastic Surgery To Get Rid Of This?
Hi doctor. Ive had what the dermatologist has called acne (not rosacea) on my nose for 14 years now. It has greatly affected my life pschologically and left me with poor social skills and no confidence.i have been on trimethoprim and duac gel for the last year. It moderately works, but I really need to get rid of it before I am to marry next year! The derm said my nose has enlarged due to my acne and I will need plastic surgery, could you tell me if this will get rid of the redness as well as making my nose go smaller?

Hi, you are suffering with acne, and the nose is red and enlarged.
So for you had any systemic treatment or not is important issue. if so far not treated should be treated by systemic drugs. So i advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have culture and sensitivity of the discharge from the eruptions. Thank you.
