Abdominal Pain Around Gallbladder, Not Severe. On Antacids. What Is Wrong?
Thank you. My adult son is having right side abdominal pain around the gall bladder. Not severe and can stop the pain somewhat by sitting. Not really worse after eating but has gone on all day. gave him antacids but pain still there. No accident or bruising. seems like it could be gall stones or something. Are we Ok to wait till morning to take him to Doc ?
Your son needs proper clinical examination and investigations. Causes may be liver or gall bladder pathology, renal calculus, acidity etc. Investigations include routine hemogram, urine RE/ME,ultrasound of abdomen, upper GI endoscopy,CT Scan of abdomen can be done if needed. You can wait till morning if he is not having severe pain and can give analgesics at home. Get well soon.
hello dear, thanks for your query at health care magic, pain in gall bladder can be due to stones or infection. if stone there will be severe pain in right abdomen , pain will be severe even on taking breaths. if infection child will have fever, vomiting , nausea, and pain. pain can also be due to kidney problems. if any of above symptoms go for ultra sound abdomen very simple , non invasive test that will rule out most of the problems regards
IT CAN BE GALL BLADDER INFECTION OR STONES IT CAN ALSO FROMN GASTRITIS DUODENITIS OR LIVER GET ULTRASOUND ABDOMEN AND GET GASTROENTEROLOGIST CONSULTATION TO TREAT CAUSE
