A close friend age 44 had a massive stroke, lots of blood and fluid pooled in and around the brain. Removed part of his skull to relieve pressure. He didn't take blood pressure meds for a year. He is still in a coma (2wks). Only induced for a week due to brain seizures. Now breathing on his own after 2 weeks on ventilator off and on. Temp and BP issues but pretty stable now. Eyes fixed and dilated still. Little bit of movement in his feet and legs. They say his brain is ok and won't know the extent of injury until he wakes up. What cld this time span be and what damage could this cause if prolonged in coma?

Hi im 19 yrs old a 5 6nd weight 132 lbs. I been having this warm and weak sensation in my left arm for a few months now and i saw today the symptoms of a Blood Clot and it look similar to what i feel. I mean i dont think i have a lot of chance of getting blood clot cause of my age. I used to play sports few years back in high school. I been also getting this warm sensation on my left chest close to the heart. I has anxiety and last year i went to the doctor thinking i was having a heart attack. They did a stress test and EKG and everything was fine. Im super scared of having a stroke at my age. One of my friend had one 3 years ago im scared it could happen to me.

A very good friend suffered today a massive stroke on the left side per the nurse. He can move his arm & legs, unable to talk and does not recognize anyone . Since I am not part of the family they are sharing very little with me. His sons will be flying in from the west coast and maybe I can find out more. He is 73, smokes and drinks every day. Your thoughts. Thank you
