A child is prescribed Amphetamines to treat his ADD. How is this medication supposed to be taken?

A child is prescribed Amphetamines to treat his ADD. How is this medication supposed to be taken? Is this medication prescribed at any time to be only taken while the child is in school? Is it alright for the parent to decide the child only has to take the medication when they are in school and cut them off when the child is not in school? What effect would this practice have on the child?

Hi welcome to Healthcaremagic

Hi..., You must not alter the treatment prescribed by the Doctor...,
Even a single dose of drug must not be missed, if so,
there wont be complete effect of drug.... continue with the same dosage of Amphetamines..
Hope I have answered your question..
