7 Year Old With Discolored Gum Due To Infection. Can I Send The Child To School?
My daughter has irratated area above gum line under upper lip. She went for her 7 year physical on Friday and I showed the doctor. She didn't seen anything swollen but told me if it turned purple to call back because it could be an infection. Tonight I noticed the area was purple. I will call the doctor tomorrow but do you know what it could be? Can I still send my child to school?

7 Year Old With Discolored Gum Due To Infection. Can I Send The Child To School?
Hi, Thanks for asking the query, Gum discolouration can be due to infection of the tooth or gums, any physical or chemical trauma, nutritional deficiencies. Consult to Pedodontist and get the check up done, if needed take an x-ray of the involved tooth. Go for symptomatic treatment scaling and polishing of mouth. Use warm saline gargles, use antiseptic mouthwash gargles twice daily. Hope this helps out. Regards...
