7 YR old Child that is mouth breather, grinds teeth at night, restless, difficulty staying still unless focussed on technology machine (IPAD, game, etc), attention issues. I had an old amalgam cavity changed a few years ago. Turns out the tooth was overbuilt. I ve been told that I have bone loss and need the tooth extracted, should consider an implant but, would require a bone graft. I ve never lost a tooth before and have dental phobia. I ve consistently put this off. Recently I ve been having aches, awake with a bit of blood and mucus in my mouth. I bit off a piece of this tooth during the night which makes me think I grind my teeth (a thought I ve never had before). I do not see blood/mucus while I m up and active but occasionally when I brush my teeth. Am to have it extracted Tues. meanwhile aches are getting worse and I m afraid I may be swallowing mucus and may end up with a systemic infection. Any insight/advice would be appreciated greatly.

my 4yr old daughter just lost her 2 bottom teeth. now she has maybe 2 or 3 white bumps on the tip of her tongue and one blister like bump on her lip. she has sucked on a bottle nipple since she was 2yrs old. any idea if the bumps and loosing her teeth may be the result of that?

Hello, I have been gargling with Dettol, just a few drops every night in a glass of wArm water, after I clean my teeth, for about 50 years, or more since I was a child as my Father recommended it. I do have beautiful teeth and am rarely sick, but my niece said it could be dangerous and lethal, and stop doing it, which I have. I do miss it at night and feel my teeth and mouth are not cleaned properly, could you please giv me your thoughts on this. Thank you very much, Sandy Cameron.
