6 Years. Mole On Scalp. Reddish, Dark Brown Outline, Severe Leg Cramps. Has Molluscum Contagiosum. Is It Normal?

My 6 year old had a pencil head sized mole on his scalp that is reddish in color with dark brown outline of it. He also periodically gets severe leg cramps in the middle I the night where he cannot stand on his legs and has molluscum contagiosum . Should I be concerned at all or get him to the dr. Or are these things normal?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
The reddish coloured one may me a capillary hemangioma and nothing to worry if it is not increasing in size.
The leg cramps usually occurs in this age group during nights and they are called growing pains.
As molluscum contagiosum is contagious, consult your Dermatologist for medical treatment for it.
