6 Moth Old Having Frequent Bowel Movements. On Formula Feeding. Is It Normal?

Hello doc . My baby is 6 months 3 weeks old and from last week she is passing loose stool 3 to 4 times a day. Earlier she used to pass it once. She is formula fed and i have recently changed to lactogen 2 and also she is teething . But thr is no issue with her feeding. Kindly suggest what needs to be done n suggest some medicine for her.

You havent mentioned about breast feeding your child. Whenever the babies dietary habit changes from exclusive breast milk to formula foods etc around 6 month usually this happens and above said symptoms may happen. If those loose stools are not associated with crying in pain, fever or decrease in appetite nothing need to be done, it will resolve on its own, no need for medicines your baby is in good health.
