4 Months Old Has Loose Motions, Yellowish And Watery. Given Nizonide, Enterogermina, No Help. Worried ?

My 4 months old son has got loose motions for past t12 days and colour of stool is generally yellow and watery. But at times the colour is green. Before passing stool he cries and he makes noise and pushes stool down. He is on breast feed . My doc had given Zinc Suspention for 5 days but there was no chage. Then he prescibed Oflomac 2.5 ml for 3 days. Again there was no change. Then we have been told to give him nizonide thrice daily and enterogermina. But still he is passing loose stool. Though he is gaining weight but we are worried because this is for last 12 -13 days. Regards AAAAA

First of all we should know if he is having loose motions or not.

A breast fed baby may some times pass 7 to 8 stools a day and this could be absolutely normal.

There is no need to worry about this particularly if it is not large volume stool or there is no blood in stool or the baby does not have any fever etc.



So your baby could be normal baby passing increased frequency of stool. Already I see so many antibiotics being given.
