4 Month Old Started With Formula Milk. Having Frequent Bowel Movements With Reddish Hip Area. What Should Be The Immediate Care?

Hi, My baby is 4 months old, we have just started feeding her the formula milk from last two days, we observed that she is going for motion frequently and even the hip area is turned into red color because of the Motions hopefully. Advice me what immediate action to be taken to reduce the motions and redness. As of now, we stopped feeding her the formula milk.

Hi Praveen,
Welcome to healthcare magic!
You have already done the best recommended step by stopping the causative feed.
4 Month is too early to introduce feeds, up to 6months baby should get ONLY MOTHERS MILK as a food.
Gut needs time to adjust to new contents so continue the breast milk and start the formula feed as an add on slowly, let the child adjust to it before you step up.
I hope this advise would be helpful for you.

Still if you have any queries or doubts, please write me back,
I would be happy to solve them.

Wish you a great health!
