3 Year Old With Fever, Diarrhea And Loss Of Appetite. Suggestions?
My 3yr old for the past 3 days has had a 100-101 fever at night only Ill give him motrin for the fevers & he also started having diarrhea yesterday and his appetite in not the way it usually is. During the day hes active and up beat just not really eating & he has also been napping 3 times a day instead of his usual once a day... what do you think could be going on?

Your child seems to have acute gastroenteritis mostly of a viral cause.
For fever, you can give Tylenol or Motrin in prescribed dosage.
Monitor and maintain hydration.
Give sips of oral rehydrating solutions like Pedialyte to prevent dehydration.
Monitor his hydration status by his activity, urine output, skin turgor, and the tongue moisture.

Your child is having fever with diarrhea which in most cases is viral in nature and settles in few days.
Decreased appetite and excessive sleeping is a pert of ongoing illness.
Most important is to maintain hydration.
Monitor fever every 6 hourly and give paracetamol if it is above 100F.
Give oral rehydration solution sip by sip after each loose stool,give coconut water,lemonade,curd,buttermilk,boiled potato,banana.rice porridge.
In case symptoms persist get him evaluated by pediatrician.
