3 Year Old Vomiting Every Half An Hour. Due To The Diet Change?

MY SON IS 3 WEEKS OLD AND IS THROWING UP HIS FEEDS IN SMALL QUANTITIES AFTER EVERY HALF HOUR.. HE TAKES HIS FEEDS AFTER EVERY 2 HRS.. BUT HE THROWS UP A FEW TBSP AFTER EACH 30 MINS... SOME OF HIS THROW UPS ARE LIKE YOGURT. IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE LAST 2 DAYS.. IS IT DUE TO MY DIET CHANGES OR SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIM? I HAVE HAD A CEASARIAN AND AM ON NO PILLS ANYMORE.. ME N MY BABY DID SUFFER A COUGH AND COLD IN HIS 2ND WEEK.

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

When ever you feed a baby you should burp him. Put him on the shoulder and tap on the back behind the stomach. See that there is no pressure on the stomach. You should tap him for 10 to 15 min when a burp is produced after which he should be laid down.

This should solve your problem.

If the symptoms persists just monitor his weight. If the weight gain is adequate and he is still throwing up small quantities do not worry.
He can then be termed as happy spitter and nothing needs to be done.

If the weight gain is inadequate and vomiting persists then we should consider GERD and your kid should be treated accordingly.
