Hi,

The chronic cough you have mentioned needs to be assessed thoroughly by proper examination and few investigation. After the infection entity has been ruled out there could be a possibility that he has Bronchitis mostly due to allergy or asthma.

The boils could be a bacterial infection or due to dermatitis. This can be confirmed only after having seen it closely. So i would suggest you get him examined by his doctor and discuss about the cough also.

Regards.
