3 Day Child Having Skull Fracture Near Occipital Bone. Concerned

My 3 day old Grandson was diagnosed with a skull fracture . It is near his occipital bone and was noticed by the pediatrician in the nursery 2 days after delivery. My daughter did not have a hard labor or delivery, she labored for less then 12 hours and pushed for 19 minutes. This is her first baby. The Dr. wants to take a wait and see approach, but I am concerned of what the risk are.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
If there is no bony injury, then occipital fracture will not cause any harm and fracture unites quite early and easily. So you can relax. If your paediatric doctor want to get CT scan then it is ok.
