2.5 Years Old Baby Recurring Cold, Cough And Fever

Hello doctor , My son is 2 and half year old. He was born in london. But since last year we came back to India in Chennai. Initially he had loose motions along with cold cough and fever . Then he joined a play school . But now from past eight months he is falling sick every month. First he sneezes and then cold followed by cough, wheezing and lastly completes with fever. We have been to many paedatrician but result is same. They say he is having low immunity and he will be fine after five years. Even they have asked not to give him any cold things, sugary juices and fruits except Apple. If he will not have fruits, how he is going to increase immunity? Recently because of wheezing we have to give him nebulizer twice. Even the he was coughing So Doctor said we will admit him and give him nebulizer four times a day if coughing prevails. We were scared. Is my son Asthamatic. We are not able to understand why it is happening every month? Due to this he is not puttting on weight. He is just 12 Kg now. We are really worried . What should we do ? Which Doctor shall we trust? Please help us.

Hi Mr. Shroff,
It is natural for a child to slowly develop immunity to various allergy-cauing substances and organisms. The process starts with cold and sometimes there is fever.
Your son has more problems that other kids of his age because he has moved to India from London.
The allergy-cauing substances and organisms of India are different from those in London. The pollution levels of India, especially Chennai, is also high.
There are no drugs in allopathy to increase your child's immunity, but we can give him B-Complex Syrups.
He may have Asthmatic Brochitis which is also because of allergy.
Testing his blood for finding his allergy causing substances may help.
Do not distrust your doctors. Find out from them if there is any ALLERGY SPECIALIST in Chennai.
