21 weeks pregnant. Ultrasound scan shows subchorionic abruption. Complications during delivery?

Hi doctor I m 21 weeks pregnant my doctor called today after reviewing my ultrasounds and she said I habe a sub chorionic abruption. This is my second pregnancy I did not have this with my first child. I m nervous that i m going to die from it or lose the baby. Could you just explain to me what this is and if I m going to be okay?

Thanks for writing to us.
A subchorionic abruption refers to a mild bleeding due to mild placental detachment. This can happen due to exertion or sudden jerk. You need to have bed rest and have a follow up scan to review regarding the progress of the clot.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
