2 Year Kid, Uncontrolled Cough, Runny Nose, Low Grade Fever, Wheezing. Treatment?

Hi. My 2 yr old son has had a bad uncontrollable cough for about 4 days now. His cough is so bad that once he starts he can't stop until he throws up. He also has a runny nose, low grade fever, and a little wheezing but not severe. He is not lethargic and is running around playing with his sister and is happy. I can easily controll his fever with tylenol but I am having a hard time finding an otc medicine to control his cough. What would you suggest?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Your child seems an episode of respiratory infection with wheezing.

Child needs physical examination by his pediatrician to look throat and lungs for any abnormal signs and his cough needs medication with bronchodilator as there is wheezing.

Continue Tylenol for fever in prescribed dose.

Consult the pediatrician for the examination and for prescription of medication.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
