Hi Neha
You can give exclusively breastfeed on demand i.e whenever your child is hungry and cries as this is the best policy for weight gain. If urine output is good and weight gain is normal and according to the age there is no need for top feed and you can exclusively breast feed till 6 months and from there you can start complimentary feeding in addition to breastfeeds.

hi

thanks for writing to health care magic

exclusive breast feeding is very good for the baby

it protects against infects, helps in brain growth and a million more advantages for you and your baby

is your baby passing urine normally or not.............is the weight gain around 900 gms a month or not

then do not worry and breast feed your baby

more milk is secreted as the baby sucks more.............this is because of the basic reflexes..........so donot worry breast feed

babies cry a lot because of varied reasons from just being wet to getting bored

hope this helps

take care
