2-3 2 Blackish Moles On Bottom. What Are These?

Hi I am a 21 year old female of Afro-Caribbean descent and am worried about some unusual moles that have appeared on my bottom. The first one appear last year, it started off as a spot i thought would go down and disappear but instead it turned into a black mole. In the last two weeks another one has appeared and now what seems to be new one growing has appeared on my lower back. I m quite dark skinned so at first i didn t think it was anything serious but the appearance of the second mole has made me think maybe I should get them checked out. Any explanations for why they are suddenly appearing at this stage in my life?

Hi, thanks for posting your query.

After going through your description I could understand that you have developed a mole last year which grew very slowly and now developed a second one 2weeks back.

You seem to have developed seborrheic keratosis.

They can occur at any age, though more during older age. There is no specific cause of their occurrence at this stage of life. There is some hereditary predisposition.
It is a benign condition and are left as such but may be removed for cosmetic reasons.

It can be removed by electrocautery, radiocautery, laser ablation, or liquid nitrogen.

You should get it checked and get it confirmed by a skin biopsy if required.

Hope this solves your query.

Take care
