you must go for chest x-ray pa view, you must mention about smoking history, get a pft(pulmunary function test) done, also mention chest pain is unilateral or bi lateral,is it radiating in your done, temporarly take an ambroxol or sinarest syrup 3 times a day, that will clear your mucos

Hi, I am a 34 year-old male who recently quit smoking 2 months ago cold turkey. I have a diagnosed hiatal hernia (3 years ago diagnosed) and GERD treated with Prilosec and had an otherwise negative scoping when the small hernia was diagnosed. Now, I have noticed new mild chest tightness and sometimes some subtle chest pain (midline or on the left breast), and chronic throat-clearing which is the most annoying symptom. Also, when I wake up I have noticed more reflux than usual, so I believe my symptoms are GI related. My GI doc told me to double up on Prilosec, which I did, but I m still tasting reflux and having chest tightness 1 week after upping the daily dose. The next step now is a Cardiac Stress Test. My blood pressure is 130/90, resting pulse is 60, never noticed a palpatation or murmer - is it actually possible I have cardiac disease causing my symptoms? So far, my doctors have been very noncommunicative about their plan and now having a new specialist is making me nervous. What can a Stress Test tell the cardiologist, and do these symptoms seem likely to be Cardiac?

hello. i have no idea if i have a cold or flu or what. i was looking online but they say a cold you would have a runny nose. i do not but my nose is a little plugged [i can still breathe..and i thinks its been like this before..i dont think its allergies because i am not sneezing] i was coughing (it's getting a little better). i do not have a headache or puffy eyes. i started feeling bad (sore throat- it hurt to talk and swollow) maybe on the 19th or 18th [every so often coughing really bad as well] and i have been taking plenty of Airborne. Today my throat does not hurt when i speak (it doesnt hurt when i swollow..it just feels odd) and i have not been coughing as much (maybe 1/2 or 1/4 of what i was coughing like]. Is this a cold or flu or what? and is it contagious [still? how would i know if it was] ? i do not want to get my family sick and i would like to haang out with a friend this weekend.

Hi, I have a problem with my ear. It all started with simple sneezing that made both of my ears itchy inside. The itchiness goes down from my ears (inside) to my throat. Sometimes I feel like my throat is dry and the sides of lips itch too. I've tried consulting an EENT doctor, she said my ear drum was inflammed, so she recommended that I take an anti-histamine tablet. The generic name was Ceterizine. I've been taking that tablet for like 3 weeks now. The itching stops though but I don't think I'm completely healed. What could be the problem? I'm really worried right now that it might be a fungal infection, I don't want fungus/bacterium eat my tissues inside! What do I need to do?
