17 year old having protein in the urine. Urine culture test suggested. Reason?
Hello my son got a letter saying that they found protein in his urine test. He is only 17 years old. Should I have any concerns. He is going to his doctor for a test again and a urine culture test. That is what they suggested for him to do. It was a work physical he had done for his job

finding protien in urine is not always serious. it can be found in many other conditions like prolonged standing, fever, any other illness,dehydration.
you can repeat routine urine exam after 2-3 days.
