I am having sudden onset of pain in my left upper hip & the pain lasts for a few days & then goes away. It does not radiate down my leg. There is no predicting when it will hit. I can just stand up & all of a sudden I am in a lot of pain or when I am doing yard work, whatever. It s so bad I have a very hard time walking. I don t know what it is or if there is anything I can do to keep it from happening (it is happening maybe every week or 2 lately). I m 63yrs. old with a history of hypothyroid & breast cancer (5 yrs. out). I m taking Synthroid & Letrrozole. Thanks so much for your help!

I had a sudden onset of hip pain in my right hip. It started yesterday and it is difficult to stand up. It feels better to stand than sit. I am trying to get over planters fasciitis. My feet finally feel somewhat better, but now my hip is very painful.

I have had extreme pain in both hips for several months now. The onset of this pain was sort of sudden. Now I am having some pains shooting in my shoulder joints and in my knees. i can tell that this is progressing rather quickly. My doctor is treating me for bursitis. I was on naproxin for a couple of weeks. It helped a little. I had to stop taking it due to side effects. The pain was back immediately. My question is Do you think that I might need to seek out a specialist? Is this something attacking my skeletal system? i am a white 69 year old female. My fear is winding up in a wheelchair.
