14 years old son has a very itchy rash on chest with tiny barely noticeable red bumps

My 14 year old son has a very itchy rash on his chest with tiny barely noticable red bumps and it has been there for many months Any idea what it might be and how to get rid of it For about 8 months, my 14 year old son has had a barely noticeable (to the eye) itchy rash on his chest. Some days it s extremely itchy, other days not as itchy, but it refuses to go away. We have given him Allergy meds like Claritin , Benedryl, but hydrocortizone cream on it, yet it remains. It s not extremely red, but rather very tiny little pinkish bumps (lots of them) on his chest only, and I have no idea how to get the itching to stop or to get the rash to just go away and not come back. Please help...

Hi;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
The very itchy rash with tiny bumps can be a ringworm infection or some other fungal infection.Since it has been from 8 months please consult a Dermatologist or at least a GP who will see it to diagnose the rash and prescribe treatment for it.Ring worm is a rash which does not go till it is treated with the proper medicines.
Take care & get treated.
Thanks

I am 27 year old female. Had a rash red bumps started on my butt, took a metro pack and it went away. Beem itchy still and noticed more bumps popping up on my wrist, stomachs, ankles they were sporadic bumps with a tiny red center. Thought it was bed bugs or fleas. So was prescribed prednisone for 7 days. The bumps seemed to get worse and then had them all on my back. Went to a dermatologist who said the bumps on my back were folliculitis. Been put on antibiotics to treat the folliculitis but still feel like the rash is bad. I have new bumps on my chest, and the rash on my stomache looks different than the bumps on my back, they are smaller bumps. I have never had a problem with my skin, and have been insanely itchy. Please help!

A few months back, I noticed on my chest (above my breasts but below my neck ) a rough patch of skin. It was bumpy, but I couldn t see anything until I looked closer. They were tiny bumps that I could feel but barely notice with the naked eye; the more I touched them, however, the more red they became, so I stopped. They have since gone away, but I am now noticing a few of them on my neck, and the slightest touch to them turns my skin red like it s breaking out in a rash . The bumps aren t any larger than the ones I had on my chest, but my skin is mildly itchy where the bumps are. Is this normal or something I should bring up with my PCO?

57 yrs old great health female, single, divorced. Very fit & health consciouse. Do not drink or smoke. Currently have no health insurance (working on it) as a consultant. Been experiencing bad thumping, heating beating every night from 7 pm until next morning. Sometimes it starts earlier and never stops. Gets worse around 11 pm so unable to sleep as so loud. When I do manage to get a little sleep, it wakes me up with same thing at 4 am and cannot get back to sleep. It also happens during the day. I have no anxiety, and min stress, and highly allergic to medications. Was taking 5mg claritin but too strong. I also have bad ear infections, but unalble to take steriods or antibodicts. This has been ongoing for a year and getting worse and happening every day now. I have gone thru menopause at 53, but possibly still part of it. The only thing I can take is Childrens Benedryl 1 tsp. Sometimes it is skips beats. I suspect food allergies; however, even if I eat nothing, still does it. Worse after eating within a 2 hr period. I have low blood pressure; however high cholestrol as very genic in family. The feeling of a lot of adrenaline pumping, even if not working out. A lot of pressure in the chest as well. I tried bioidential hormones but could not tell any difference. Not taking anything now except B-Complex Sublingual Liquid once a day and the Benedryl if having an allergic reaction.

My son has a raised rash on the backs of each hand and elbows, which he has had since yesterday. He has had a similar rash many times before when playing in grass. He has been playing soccer on grass turf all week. My husband gave him one loratadine (active ingredient - 10 mg) tablet 2 hours ago because he could not find benedryl (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) at the time. I have the benedryl, can he take some now (2-4 tablets - 12.5 mg). If yes, how much? If no, when can he take benedryl.
