14 Year Old With A Broken Tibia And Fibula. How Long Will It Take To Recover?

hi i am 14 years old and like to play football and i had a low broken tibula and fibula.. they did surgery and put a plate with five screws on the outside of my ankle and some mesh/wires on the left side of the ankle... ive been in a cast below the knee for a month and on june 19 im going in for a check up i guess and im wondering how long it will be before i can play football.

The time to return to sport may vary from person to person and would depend on the extent of healing , the site and severity of the fracture and the progress in physiotherapy.

It can sometimes take from 6 months onwards for full return to sports but you can consider speaking to your doctor to find out what he recommends in your case.
