at this age has varied causes. You have not described the exact location. If it is in the center and accompanied by burning, she may be having esophagitis(inflamation of food pipe) due to hyper-acidity. There is a condition called Gastro-esophageal reflux disease(GERD
) which may cause pain in the chest. Does she complains of any palpitations or breathlessness? Does the pain increase if she takes a deep breath? If the answer to later two queries is yes, then you should get her chest X-ray and ECG done.
For the time being I suggest her to avoid coffee, tea spicy and fried foods. Try some antacid
like Rabiprazole along with Digene-MPS
. If there is no relief after few days, better consult a pediatrician
, in your town, who can guide you further.
