12 Year Old With Excessive Sweating. Reason?

Hi, I am a 12 year old girl and I am sweating at night. The sweat smells like urine which is really unpleasant. I am not asleep when I sweat but I am lying down. I used to take desmopressin and I haven't started my periods yet. I am wearing the same clothes that I did and my room temperature has stayed the same. I used to have 2 duvets but now I only have 1 because it is getting closer to summer. Thank you.

HI ! Sweat is produced by eccrine and apocrine glands in the skin. Eccrine sweat glands are found over most of the body and produce sweat without any odor. On the other hand, apocrine sweat glands are typically just found in the underarms and groin.Unlike the odorless sweat that is produced by eccrine glands, apocrine glands produce sweat that, once it has contact with bacteria, has a distinct body odor.
in your case it looks like desmopressin or anxiety is the cause of excessive sweating. Most teens with excessive sweating and no other symptoms will have primary focal hyperhidrosis though, in which the excessive sweating is limited to just one or more areas of their bodies, it is bilateral and symmetric (for example, both hands or both armpits), and stops while they are sleeping. try to rule out hyperthyroidism also .
