11 Month Old Has Global Developmental Delay, Frontal Bossing, Narrow Nasal Ridge, Left Eye Squint, Doesn't Recognize Anyone At Home.x Ray Revealed Healed Rickets.keeps Hand In An Awkward Position.what Is The Reason?Treatment?

Hi my 11 month old daughter has global developmental delay, frontal bossing, narrow nasal ridge, left eye squint, doesn't recognize anyone at home. She only smiles when cuddled and respond to sounds and babbles a lot. Her MRI ,X ray and blood test all came back normal. But x ray revealed she had healed rickets. She keeps her hand in an awkward position sometimes. We are really frustrated and have no what to do. I would appreciate if you can provide me with some answers.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

The X-ray evidence of rickets suggests that there is deficiency id vitamin D in the baby. It required supplements of vitamin D and calcium.
I guess your pediatrician must have prescribed vitamin D.

The other problem that you have mentioned is that of global developmental delay, frontal bossing and narrow nasal ridge.
You need to get a complete nutritional assessment. These features are suggestive of vitamin d deficiency.
You need to consult an ophthalmologist for the squint problem.
Squints can be treated surgically if treated early.

So, consult a pediatrician and ophthalmologist early.

Thanks and take care
