10 Year Old. Hands And Legs Small. Given Vitamin D Injection Monthly. Treatment?
I am Iqbal Hussain from Karachi, I have four children, my one child age is now 10 years and height is 36 inches and weight 25 kg approx. before born see in ultrasound doctor says his hand and leg is small. He have also bone reckitt desease. I am given monthly vitamin D injection in hips.as per doctor advise. Please solve my problem.

There is reason to worry. Rickets generally does not manifest before birth.Rickets should heal after Vit D injections except the resistant varieties. I think there is some other cause for the short stature which needs a proper diagnosis before treatment. Short stature before birth is usually genetic or metabolic.Please consult a paediatric endocrinologist for your child's problems.Hope this answers your query.Have a nice day
